Architecture
For my first location, I chose the U of M Ross building. I liked the modern architecture of the building and thought it would make interesting pictures. I liked how much of the building is made of glass, giving some cool reflections in the pictures. I also thought the contrast of the colors and the use of sharp straight lines in the building would look nice.
For my second location, I chose the Law Library in the Law Quad. I chose this for one of the locations because I have always thought that the Law Quad buildings were so beautiful, especially the library. I like the older looking style of architecture and how the buildings have almost a castle-like feel to them.
For this location, I chose some of the residential halls at the U of M. I liked how the sun was hitting the building in the third picture. I think it gives the picture a really warm feeling which I like. I really enjoy the architectural style of this building. I also thought the details around the windows in this building looked really cool.
For this set of pictures I decided to do another building in the Law Quad. This building sort of reminded me of buildings in certain places in Europe which I enjoyed. I love all of the details in the Law Quad buildings, especially in the windows on this one. For this set of pictures I was trying to go for a fall/academic feeling and I think I accomplished that pretty well.
For my last set of images I decided to do this lecture hall(?) building close to the residential hall I took pictures of. This building is a lot more simplistic than the law quad buildings, but I thought it looked a lot like old school buildings that you see in movies which was pretty cool. Because of that, I was trying again to go for an academic feeling with the pictures that again I think I pulled off.
